Business Analyst – Master Data & Systems Integration
Location: Dublin or Reading (Hybrid)
Duration: Initial 6 Months
Contract Type: Day Rate (Inside IR35 if you UK Based)
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major programme focused on Master Data Management (MDM) and the integration of data across multiple enterprise platforms.
This role requires a BA with significant back‑end, data‑driven experience, someone who understands how data moves, transforms, and integrates across complex systems. You’ll work across Technology, Data, and Business teams to define requirements, map data flows, and ensure consistent, high‑quality data across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead requirement gathering for MDM, data integration, and cross‑platform data flows
- Analyse existing systems, interfaces, and data structures to identify gaps and inconsistencies
- Define functional and non‑functional requirements for data quality, lineage, and governance
- Document end‑to‑end data processes, mappings, and integration logic
- Work closely with engineering, architecture, and business teams to ensure alignment
- Validate existing BA documentation and refine where needed
- Support testing by validating data outputs, transformations, and integration behaviour
- Act as a key liaison across multiple teams to ensure data consistency and platform interoperability
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on back‑end data, integrations, and MDM
- Deep understanding of APIs, data models, data mapping, and system‑to‑system integrations
- Ability to work confidently with technical teams and challenge assumptions where needed
- Strong documentation skills: process flows, data dictionaries, mapping specs, requirements packs
- Experience working in large‑scale, multi‑platform environments
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to operate independently
- Experience in retail, ERP, or large‑scale data transformation programmes is a plus
