Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join Deloitte for an engagement with a leading global Tier 1 Financial Services organisation.
We are looking for a Data Engineer to build and optimise scalable data pipelines supporting workflow data platforms. The role will focus on ensuring high-quality, reliable, and accessible data for analytics and AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Integrate data from multiple operational and workflow systems.
- Build and optimise cloud-based data platforms and architectures.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are maintained.
- Support AI and analytics teams with reliable data infrastructure.
- Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot data issues.
- Collaborate across engineering, analytics, and business teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with SQL and Python for data engineering.
- Experience with ETL tools and data orchestration frameworks.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
- Experience with cloud-based data architectures.
- Understanding of data modelling and database design principles.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting AI or machine learning workloads.
- Knowledge of streaming data technologies.
- Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments.
