Leadership & governance - leads cross-workstream alignment, ensures governance processes are embedded.

 

As a Programme Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

 

  • Lead the PMO team which does include direct reports
  • Establish governance framework and reporting cadence
  • Maintain overall programme roadmap and critical path
  • Attend and provide monthly assurance to the Project Board
  • Chair workstream alignment sessions
  • Support the SRO with strategic decision-making
  • Coordinate Gateway and assurance reviews

 

Essential Skills

 

  • Experience in managing a PMO department which includes direct reports
  • Central government experience within busy departments
  • Stakeholder engagement at all levels across the department
  • Organisational restructuring experience at a senior level
  • Machinery of government changes skillset and experience
  • Strong self starter with a proactive approach

 

Qualifications

 

  • APM Project management qualification is essential for this role
