Full Stack Engineer - SC Cleared at Layer7, Remote, 6 Months, £650 per day

Rate: £650 per day (Inside IR35)
Clearance: Active SC Clearance mandatory
Location: Predominantly remote, with rare occasional visits to Newcastle
Duration: 6 months+

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a high-profile programme within a secure environment. This is a hands-on role for a versatile engineer comfortable working across the full development stack and delivering high-quality, production-ready software.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain applications across both Front End and back-end
• Build robust, scalable and secure features from concept through to deployment
• Collaborate with architects, product owners and fellow engineers to deliver against requirements
• Contribute to technical design decisions and uphold engineering best practice
• Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code
• Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer delivering production software
• Strong Front End skills (eg React, Angular or similar modern frameworks)
• Solid Back End development experience (eg Java, .NET, Node.js, Python or similar)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, databases and cloud platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control and automated testing
• Active SC Clearance is mandatory (candidates must hold current clearance to be considered)

Desirable

• CASA experience highly desirable
• Experience delivering within secure, regulated or public sector environments
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP)
