Contract Length: Until 18th December 2026

Working Hours: 36.25 per week

Role Overview:

This role is accountable for leading a cross-functional agile squad delivering Talent Acquisition technology outcomes across Workday Recruiting, AI-enabled solutions, and automation.

This role supports a large-scale Talent Acquisition technology transformation delivered within the enterprise IT portfolio. The programme focuses on modernising Talent Acquisition platforms, processes and operating models through a combination of Workday Recruiting optimisation, AI-enabled capabilities and digital automation.

Delivery is organised around a product- and squad-based agile model, with work structured across multiple, interdependent workstreams. Teams operate at the intersection of Talent Acquisition, HR Technology and IT, translating functional TA outcomes into scalable, secure and compliant technology solutions.

The work involves close collaboration with TA leaders, HR stakeholders, IT delivery teams and external technology vendors. The successful candidate will have experience operating in complex IT delivery environments, with a strong understanding of Talent Acquisition or wider Talent functions, and the ability to balance pace, quality, risk and enterprise governance.

While functional TA knowledge is essential, this role requires experience delivering IT-led HR or Talent technology projects, such as system implementations, platform optimisation, AI-enabled solutions or automation initiatives. This role is not suitable for individuals with purely functional Talent Acquisition experience and no exposure to technology delivery or IT transformation environments.

What you will do:

  • Lead an agile squad aligned to Talent Acquisition technology outcomes.

  • Own sprint planning, backlog prioritisation and delivery cadence.

  • Translate Talent Acquisition outcomes into epics, features and user stories.

  • Manage risks, dependencies and delivery impediments.

  • Coordinate delivery across IT teams and external vendors.

  • Provide outcome-focused reporting to senior stakeholders.

  • Support delivery across Workday Recruiting optimisation, AI-enabled capabilities and automation initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, HR stakeholders, Talent Acquisition leaders and IT delivery teams.

  • Operate within a product- and squad-based agile delivery environment across multiple interdependent workstreams.

  • Ensure delivery outcomes align to enterprise governance, compliance and quality standards.

What you will have:

  • Proven Agile Delivery Lead or Squad Lead experience within IT programmes.

  • Experience delivering HR or Talent technology transformation initiatives.

  • Hands-on exposure to Workday Recruiting implementation or optimisation.

  • Exposure to AI-enabled solutions and automation initiatives.

  • Strong stakeholder management and delivery coordination capability.

  • Experience operating within complex enterprise IT delivery environments.

  • Ability to balance pace, quality, risk and governance within agile delivery frameworks.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across business and technology teams.

You will work with:

  • You will work closely with Talent Acquisition leaders, HR stakeholders, Product Owners, IT delivery teams and external technology vendors.

  • You will operate across multiple agile squads and workstreams supporting the modernisation of Talent Acquisition technology, processes and operating models.

  • You will collaborate with teams across HR Technology and enterprise IT to deliver scalable, secure and compliant Talent solutions.
