Solutions Architect at Pluro - Shopify Plus Agency, London, £Contract Rate

About Pluro

Pluro is a Shopify agency working with ambitious e-commerce brands, with a focus on Shopify Plus, subscriptions, premium consumer brands, and complex technical delivery.

We work across strategy, Shopify architecture, theme development, app integrations, platform migrations, CRO, and ongoing growth retainers. As the agency grows, we are looking for a contract Solutions Architect to support with discovery, technical planning, client workshops, and delivery

handovers.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect who can sit between client requirements, commercial strategy, and technical delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who understands Shopify deeply, can translate business problems into technical solutions, and can produce clear documentation that developers, project managers, and clients can all work from.

You will support Pluro across discovery phases, new business opportunities, complex Shopify builds, and ongoing client work where technical architecture and clear planning are required.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Running or supporting technical discovery sessions with clients
• Understanding client requirements, pain points, systems, and operational workflows
• Mapping out Shopify architecture for new builds, migrations, integrations, and retained work
• Producing clear solution documents, technical specifications, implementation plans, and delivery briefs
• Advising on Shopify Plus, Shopify apps, integrations, subscription platforms, loyalty tools, fulfilment workflows, and wider e-commerce systems
• Supporting project managers and developers with technical context before work begins
• Identifying technical risks, dependencies, assumptions, and areas requiring further investigation
• Helping scope work accurately before it reaches development
• Reviewing existing Shopify setups and recommending improvements
• Supporting client-facing calls where technical confidence and senior thinking are required
• Working with Pluro’s internal and external development teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and deliverable

What We’re Looking For

The ideal person will have:

• Strong Shopify and Shopify Plus experience
• Experience working across Shopify themes, apps, integrations, checkout, subscriptions, and third-party systems
• Ability to understand commercial requirements and turn them into practical technical solutions
• Strong written documentation skills
• Confidence speaking directly with clients and senior stakeholders
• Experience working with developers, designers, project managers, and agency teams
• Good understanding of e-commerce operations, including fulfilment, customer accounts, subscriptions, loyalty, CRM, analytics, and marketing integrations
• Ability to spot risks early and challenge unclear requirements
• A calm, structured approach to complex projects
• Agency experience preferred
