Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to support ongoing ServiceNow ITSM development, enhancement, integration, and platform support work. The ideal candidate will have 5–6 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience , with strong technical knowledge of ITSM modules , including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Request Management, Service Catalog, and CMDB-related processes .
This is a remote UK-based contract role , operating Inside IR35 , with a day rate of up to £560 per day . The candidate must be currently residing in the UK and must have the legal right to work in the UK without sponsorship, such as UK citizenship or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) .
ServiceNow certifications are preferred but not mandatory. Strong practical knowledge and hands-on implementation experience are essential.
Key Responsibilities
The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and supporting ServiceNow ITSM solutions across core platform modules.
Responsibilities include:
- Configure, enhance, and support ServiceNow ITSM modules , including:
- Incident Management
- Problem Management

- Develop and maintain business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, scheduled jobs, ACLs, notifications, and workflows
- Build and enhance Service Catalog items, record producers, variables, variable sets, catalog client scripts, and catalog UI policies
- Support Flow Designer , Workflow Editor , IntegrationHub , and automation-based solutions
- Work on integrations between ServiceNow and third-party tools such as:
- SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
- LANDesk / Ivanti
- Monitoring tools
- Asset discovery tools
- External REST/SOAP-based systems
- Develop and troubleshoot REST APIs, SOAP APIs, scripted REST APIs, import sets, transform maps, data sources, and scheduled imports
- Support CMDB data ingestion, reconciliation, and integration-related troubleshooting
- Configure forms, lists, tables, fields, dictionary entries, UI actions, related lists, and platform views
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, performance analytics indicators, and operational views
- Troubleshoot production issues, defects, integration failures, access issues, and platform configuration problems
- Work with business analysts, process owners, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into ServiceNow technical solutions
- Support testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, UAT, defect resolution, and deployment preparation
- Follow ServiceNow development best practices, governance standards, update set management, and release procedures

- Experience working with update sets, application scope, platform configuration, and deployment processes
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote contract environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills
The following are mandatory:
- Experience with CMDB , Discovery , or Service Graph Connectors
- Experience with SCCM, Ivanti/LANDesk, Intune, SolarWinds, or other enterprise IT management tools
- Experience with Agile delivery, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery tools
- Understanding of ITIL processes and ITSM operating models
- Experience supporting enterprise ServiceNow environments
