Full Stack Developer (React Native/AI) at Sober Points, Remote, £Contract Rate

Company Description

Sober Points is a live, people-powered map for sober-friendly hospitality, bars, restaurants, and experiences for a fast growing audience of people choosing to drink less or not at all.

We’ve built and launched our web platform (React, Node, MongoDB), mapped 700+ venues, and are growing organically with real users.

We’re now building our native app and expanding the product, including AI-driven features.

Role Description

We’re looking for a junior full stack developer to help us build and ship our React Native app. They will also help with the maintenance and continuous development of the web application.

You’ll work (remotely) across frontend and backend, contribute to new features, and be part of a small team moving quickly from idea to release.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership, you’ll be involved in building, testing, and improving the product as we scale, including early work with AI/LLM integrations.

Time zone: must be GMT compatible.

Qualifications

• Solid fundamentals in React (React Native a plus)
• Basic backend experience (Node.js, APIs, databases)
• Comfortable working across the stack and learning as you go
• Interest in AI/LLMs and how they can be applied in real products
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to move quickly
• Keen to be part of an early-stage startup and see a product through from build to scale
