IT Field Engineer at SAS Logistics, West Hunsbury, 3 Months, £Day Rate

An exciting opportunity has arisen at SAS Tech Services Ltd as a IT Field Engineer. Formed in 2000, SAS Tech Services has developed an excellent reputation as a secure, reliable, cost-effective provider of logistics solutions and provider of onsite services ranging from large onsite data wipes, data centre decommissions, hardware and peripheral installations. Alongside providing in house technical support and remote services across the UK and Europe to cater to a wide scope of business requirements.

Company van will be provided.

Tasks include

  • Assisting with IT hardware & peripheral support.
  • Configuration of hardware (laptops, desktops and mobile phones)
  • Contribute to ongoing and new IT Projects in the UK and Europe
  • Data centre installs, moves and decoms
  • Data sanitisation – data wiping, degaussing and data shredding
  • Office IT hardware refreshes
  • Software and application support
  • Network support
  • Server support
  • Cloud solutions, office 365 management
  • IT Logistics and transportation

Technical Specifications:

  • Minimum of 24 months experience of working within an IT support environment
  • Windows OS knowledge, experience and deployment
  • Office 365 support experience (Azure, exchange, SharePoint, Office Suite)
  • Monitors, printer and general desktop hardware support
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot IT issues
  • Understanding of AV software support and remote connection tools
  • Knowledge of hardware imaging from pixie booting and bootable devices

Desirable experience and attributes

  • 1 years+ in IT Infrastructure support, Network support/software environment.
  • Experience with Cabling/Networking/Servers
  • Great face to face manner and communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a larger team
  • Enthusiastic and energetic - someone who can fit in with the IT Team and throw themselves into the SAS culture. Exceptional integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness is key.
  • Someone who can think outside of the box and provide new ways of doing things.
  • Ability to understand and analyse customer technical needs

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £150.00 per day
