🚀 Hiring: Technical Writer – Robotics & Automation (UK | Hybrid | Contract | Outside IR35)

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team on a 6-month contract (Outside IR35). This is a hybrid opportunity in the UK, with 1–2 days in the office (Huntingdon) and the rest remote. Immediate joiners are preferred.

🔍 Role Overview

As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for robotics and automation systems. You will translate complex technical workflows into simple, structured content and collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Develop user manuals for robotics and automation products

Create training materials for operators and engineers

Document system architecture, workflows, and configurations

Produce high-quality UI documentation with clear steps and visuals

Write API and integration documentation where required

Review and improve existing documentation for clarity and accuracy

Collaborate with engineering teams to gather technical insights

Ensure consistency in style, terminology, and structure

✅ Requirements

Proven experience in technical writing (robotics, automation, or industrial systems)

Strong understanding of system workflows and UI documentation

Ability to simplify complex technical concepts

Experience with documentation tools and content management systems

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Experience with industrial automation or robotics platforms

Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and software documentation

Ability to create diagrams, flowcharts, and visual documentation
