🚀 Contract Data Engineer | Outside IR35 | London (Hybrid, 3+ Days On-Site)

We’re seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a high-profile team delivering large-scale tax projects. This is a contract role (Outside IR35) based in London, requiring on-site presence at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do:

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines and ETL processes for complex, high-volume data sets.
• Collaborate closely with Data Modellers, Analysts, and Tax Specialists to ensure data integrity and usability.
• Support large-scale tax initiatives, enabling accurate reporting and analysis.
• Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer working with relational and non-relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (SQL, Scala, PySpark).
• Exposure to large-scale tax or financial projects is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in the oil/gas sector would be a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on-site in London 3+ days/week.
