Synechron is looking for a talented Front-End Lead to spearhead our front-end transformation for post-trade services. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology within a prestigious, systemically important infrastructure provider.


As the Lead Front-End Developer, you will be instrumental in rewriting and refactoring existing UI applications like Margin Manager and Collateral Manager using our strategic workspace UI components. You will design and build a unified portal to provide seamless access across various internal systems, ensuring a cohesive look and feel. Your expertise will help champion clean, maintainable code and uphold strict resiliency standards within an AWS environment. You will collaborate closely with Java backend teams to enable smooth interaction with distributed microservices.


Role:

  • Restructure and enhance existing UI applications utilising strategic workspace UI components
  • Develop a comprehensive portal that offers unified access to multiple internal applications
  • Advocate for clean code principles and SOLID best practices
  • Ensure solutions meet demanding resiliency standards, supporting peak message rates of up to 50 million per second
  • Work in tandem with backend developers to optimise frontend and backend integrations


Experience:

  • Over x10 years of software engineering experience - Expert-level proficiency in ReactJS and TypeScript
  • Deep understanding of designing scalable front-end solutions that interact with distributed APIs
  • Proven experience in refactoring and modernising complex UI applications
  • Knowledge of microservice architecture and cloud environments, preferably AWS
  • Strong advocate for code quality, resilience, and best practices
  • Familiarity with collateral management for bilateral and cleared OTC derivatives is highly advantageous


Long term contract (Inside IR35) - x 3days in London office - Strong market rates
