Description
We are looking for an experienced Commerce Tech Lead to support the definition, planning, and rollout of scalable eCommerce capabilities across international markets, with an immediate focus on Germany & the US, to start ASAP for a duration of three months. Based in a commutable distance to Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document the current eCommerce landscape, including scale and complexity across:
- Customer journeys and transactions
- Revenue streams and SKU catalogue
- Integrations (ERP, payments, tax, fulfilment, returns, discounting)
- Define lightweight eCommerce requirements for the US market
- Identify and document the capabilities required to replicate and enhance the existing German (DE) eCommerce experience
- Define, prioritise, and validate future platform requirements and use cases
- Support the eCommerce platform RFP (Request for Proposal) and vendor selection process
- Develop a comprehensive delivery plan covering capabilities, use cases, and roadmap
- Produce detailed delivery estimates for both DE and US eCommerce implementations
- Data architecture and end-to-end process flow documentation
- Support throughout the RFP and platform selection process
- End-to-end delivery plan, including capability rollout and key milestones
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in eCommerce strategy, platform delivery, or digital transformation
- Strong understanding of end-to-end eCommerce ecosystems (ERP, payments, tax, fulfilment, returns)
- Experience working across international markets, ideally DE and/or US
- Demonstrated experience supporting RFP processes and vendor selection
- Ability to translate business needs into technical and operational requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
