Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect specialising in AI Discovery to join our innovative team. Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, efficient data architectures supporting AI discovery initiatives.
- Develop and maintain data models, database designs, and data warehouses aligned with organisational needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Manage integration of diverse data sources using tools such as Informatica, Hadoop, Spark, and SQL-based systems.
- Utilise cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud to deploy and optimise data solutions.
- Implement best practices for data security, governance, and compliance across all architectures.
- Optimise performance of NoSQL databases like Cassandra or DynamoDB alongside traditional relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
- Develop scripts using Bash (Unix shell), Python, Java, or other relevant languages for automation and data processing tasks.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in big data technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into existing frameworks.
- Analyse data flows and architecture across systems
- Assess data quality, structure and governance
- Support feasibility assessments for data-driven solutions
- Define data architecture and integration patterns
- Identify risks relating to data quality, privacy and compliance
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role specialising in AI or big data projects.
- Strong proficiency with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, DynamoDB) and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
- Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and related services.
- Hands-on experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and related ecosystems.
- Expertise in data modelling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL scripting along with Bash (Unix shell), Python, Java for automation and development purposes.
- Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica for data integration tasks.
- Knowledge of cloud-native architecture principles and security best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
