Website Refresh & Optimisation Specialist

Rowes Retreats is looking for a freelance website specialist or small agency to help us streamline, optimise and smarten up our existing website.We currently use Wix and are exploring a move to WordPress or another platform with stronger SEO capability and more flexibility. This is not a full rebrand or dramatic redesign. We want someone who can improve what already exists, create a smoother user experience, and build a stronger technical foundation for growth.

About Us

Rowes Retreats is an independent, family-run holiday let business based in Cornwall. We offer hands-on property management, thoughtful guest experiences, and a genuinely personal approach for both guests and homeowners.Our website needs to better support two audiences:

• Guests looking to book a stay
• Property owners looking for a trusted management partner

The Project

We are looking for someone to review our current website and deliver a practical, well-executed refresh that improves:

• User journey and navigation
• SEO structure and search visibility
• Mobile experience and site performance
• Lead generation for property owners
• Booking journey for guests
• Overall polish, consistency and ease of use

We are open to recommendations, but our current thinking is that WordPress may offer more flexibility and stronger SEO potential than Wix.What We NeedWe are looking for someone who can:

• Audit our current website and identify what should stay, improve or be removed
• Recommend the best platform approach, including whether WordPress is the right fit
• Improve site structure and information architecture
• Create clearer pathways for our two core audiences
• Refine the existing design rather than replace it completely
• Improve technical SEO foundations, including clean URLs, metadata and schema where appropriate
• Support a smoother, more intuitive browsing and enquiry experience
• Advise on integrations, workflows and content management so the site is easier to maintain going forward
