Role Purpose:

As an AI Automation & M365 Technical Lead, you will operate within a large enterprise environment, driving the design, integration, and adoption of AI-powered solutions to enhance communication, automate business processes, and enable smarter ways of working.

Leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem (primarily Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Power Platform, and AI services such as Copilot), you will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and intelligent automation solutions that improve productivity, streamline operations, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

This role is critical in transforming how the organisation communicates, integrates systems, and leverages AI to move toward a modern, intelligent workplace.

Key Responsibilities:AI Automation Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and evolve the organisation’s AI automation and integration strategy aligned to business goals
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes, enhance communication flows, and reduce manual effort
  • Drive adoption of AI-first thinking across business units, ensuring solutions are scalable and sustainable
  • Challenge and guide technical decision-making, ensuring best practices and long-term value

Microsoft AI & Modern Workplace Leadership

  • Lead the design and implementation of AI-driven solutions within Microsoft 365, including:
  • M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio
  • Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents)
  • Azure AI services and integrations
  • Translate Microsoft capabilities into practical, enterprise-ready automation and communication solutions
  • Stay ahead of Microsoft’s AI and cloud roadmap, applying innovations to real-world use cases
  • Promote AI enablement across the organisation, increasing adoption and user value

Automation, Integration & Communication Enablement

  • Design and deliver end-to-end automation solutions across systems, applications, and workflows
  • Build and maintain integrations using APIs, Microsoft Graph, and Azure Integration Services
  • Enhance internal communication and collaboration using AI-driven tools and automation
  • Enable seamless data flow between platforms to support real-time decision-making
  • Drive standardisation and governance of automation and integration patterns

AI Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure all AI and automation solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise governance
  • Implement best practices across:
  • Microsoft Purview and data governance
  • Identity and access management via Entra ID
  • Secure use of AI models and data handling
  • Define guardrails for responsible AI usage, ensuring ethical and compliant deployment
  • Work closely with security teams to embed “secure by design” principles

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating technical capabilities into business value
  • Partner with technology, operations, and business teams to identify and deliver AI-driven outcomes
  • Mentor and guide engineering and support teams on automation and AI best practices
  • Work with vendors and partners to implement innovative solutions and improve service delivery

Required Experience & Skills:Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise technology roles, with a strong focus on AI, automation, or modern workplace transformation
  • Proven experience leading automation or AI-driven change initiatives within large organisations
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver scalable integration and automation solutions

Technical Expertise

  • Strong expertise across Microsoft 365, with emphasis on:
  • M365 Copilot and Copilot Studio
  • Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Microsoft Graph API and automation tooling
  • Experience with Azure services, particularly:
  • Azure AI / Cognitive Services
  • Azure Logic Apps / Functions / Integration Services
  • Strong understanding of Entra ID for identity, access, and secure integrations
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, APIs)
  • Solid understanding of system integration patterns and enterprise architecture
  • Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and secure AI implementation

Pay: £500.00 per day

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London SW1E: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
