Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Architect

 

  • Design end-to-end data architecture using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Pipelines)

  • Define and lead migration strategy from SAP BusinessObjects to Power BI

  • Build and oversee data pipelines and integration with source systems

  • Implement data security, governance, and compliance (GDPR aligned)

  • Ensure performance optimisation and scalability of the platform

  • Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and business teams

  • Support testing, validation, and go-live activities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the delivery team

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years in Data Architecture / Data Engineering

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, and Power BI

  • Proven experience in data migration (legacy to cloud)

  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills

  • Knowledge of data governance and security

Preferred:

  • Experience with SAP BusinessObjects

  • Microsoft Certifications (DP-600, PL-300)

  • Public sector project experience
