Business Analyst – Target Operating Model (Investment Management)

Location: 80 Fenchurch Street – 50% onsite (over 2 weeks)

Duration: 6 months

The Role

A Business Analyst is required to support a strategic change initiative within the investment division of Aviva Investors.

The role sits within the Change team and will focus on analysing and documenting the end-to-end operating model across investment and sustainability functions.

The programme is driven by the Sustainability team and focuses on improving geolocation and risk data capture across asset origination and financing activities (e.g. infrastructure or real estate assets such as wind farms and buildings). This information feeds into risk reporting, environmental analysis and investment decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with senior stakeholders across Investment, Sustainability and Reporting teams to capture requirements.
• Analyse and document the current end-to-end operating model across investment processes.
• Map front-to-back workflows including data capture, processing, reporting and risk assessment.
• Identify data gaps and opportunities to improve data sourcing and capture.
• Produce clear documentation including process maps, requirements documentation and operating model artefacts.
• Partner with technology teams to define development and system enhancements.
• Support analysis of the existing asset “back book” to identify opportunities to enrich or improve existing data.

Experience Required

• Strong Business Analyst experience within financial services.
• Experience delivering change initiatives or operating model / process transformation programmes.
• Background in investment management, asset management or investment banking environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills.
• Strong documentation and process mapping capabilities.
• Exposure to investment or asset data and reporting environments.

Experience with platforms such as:

• Clearwater
• DealCloud
• CreditHub

is beneficial but not essential.
