Technology Assurance & Compliance Lead

Location: Remote

Duration: 3-Months Initially

IR35 Status: Inside IR35 - £500 p/d

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technology Assurance & Compliance Lead to ensure that all technology products—both new and existing—align with organisational architecture standards, security policies, regulatory requirements, and operational readiness criteria.

This role plays a critical part in enabling the safe, compliant, and efficient adoption of technology solutions across the business. You will work collaboratively with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and IT Delivery teams to assess, validate, and assure a wide range of technology products and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and assure technology products to ensure alignment with architecture standards and best practices
• Evaluate SaaS solutions, including vendor due diligence and risk assessments
• Review new modules and extensions to existing platforms to ensure compliance and integration integrity
• Assure desktop products, including those required to support reasonable adjustments and accessibility needs
• Validate that all solutions meet security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Ensure operational readiness, including support models, documentation, and service transition
• Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and IT Delivery teams to drive consistent assurance processes
• Identify risks and provide clear recommendations to support informed decision-making
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of assurance frameworks, standards, and governance processes

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in technology assurance, IT governance, or risk and compliance roles
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
• Experience assessing SaaS platforms and third-party vendor solutions
• Familiarity with IT service management and operational readiness (e.g., ITIL)
• Understanding of accessibility and inclusive technology requirements is desirable
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
