Business Analyst

Location: Nottingham

Hybrid-3 days work from client office-Mandatory

Contract inside IR35/ Fixed term contract/ Permanent

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to engage with the business, evaluate options for improving systems and processes, and help deliver effective IT-enabled solutions.

What you’ll do

• Planning & Delivery Alignment
• Contribute to the 3-year planning process
• Partner with the Release Manager to align business ambition with releases and dependencies
• Business Engagement & Change
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (business + technical) Support the flow of demand from idea validation
• formal project setup (including creation of a detailed Project Mandate)
• Provide IT input into benefits identification and ensure benefit owners are aligned
• Support business and process change initiatives

Requirements & Analysis

• Work with stakeholders (e.g., Architecture, Service teams) to:

• Elicit and validate requirements via interviews, workshops, document analysis and analytical techniques
• Produce documentation covering both functional and non-functional requirements
• Project Lifecycle Support
• Represent business requirements end-to-end across the project lifecycle
• Ensure requirements are clear for Design/Development teams and support clarification through design
• Ensure data flows correctly between systems and new/changed data elements are accurately captured
• Maintain complete, traceable requirements

What you’ll bring (Essential)

• Strong experience and knowledge of business analysis techniques
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders on options, scope, and solutions
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills

Nice to have (Desirable)

• Experience working with external suppliers/vendors
• Experience within a retail organisation
• Knowledge of business processes in areas such as Finance and/or Supply Chain
• ISEB/BCS BA Foundation and BA Practice (or equivalent)
