**Please note these roles require frequent travel to the UAE (Abu Dhabi) when safe to do so. Anyone engaged in this project would be expected to travel to the UAE with expenses covered (Flights, Travel & Accommodation) for 1 week a month minimum.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) to join our engineering team and support complex enterprise programmes.

Role Summary

The Senior ServiceNow ITAM / ITOM Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and configuring solutions across the ServiceNow platform, with a particular focus on ITAM (HAM / SAM) and ITOM modules .

This role requires a highly capable developer who can work closely with architects, business analysts, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into scalable platform solutions while ensuring best practices and platform standards are maintained.

You will also play an important role in mentoring junior developers and contributing to the technical direction of ServiceNow implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and configure solutions across ServiceNow ITAM and ITOM modules .
• Implement capabilities including Discovery, CMDB, Event Management, HAM, and SAM .
• Develop workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and integrations.
• Support integrations with external systems such as monitoring tools, procurement systems, and cloud platforms .
• Work with architects and technical leads to ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices and platform architecture standards .
• Develop and maintain custom applications and reusable components .
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of platform issues.
• Participate in code reviews and quality assurance processes .
• Assist in mentoring junior developers and supporting knowledge sharing within the team.

Experience Required

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience .
• Strong experience developing across ITAM (HAM / SAM) and ITOM modules .
• Experience with CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, or Event Management .
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST, SOAP, or MID Server architecture .
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments .
• Experience working in consulting or partner-led delivery projects is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Glide APIs) .
• Experience developing business rules, client scripts, UI policies, Flow Designer workflows .
• Experience working with Service Catalog, CMDB, and integrations .
• Familiarity with ServiceNow development best practices and platform governance .
• Understanding of ITIL processes and service management frameworks .

Certifications (Preferred)

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITAM or ITOM (advantageous)
• ITIL Foundation
