In-House Part-Time £20 per Hour

Sunny Art Centre is seeking a skilled Freelance Full Stack Developer to join our in-house creative team on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimisation of our e-commerce website , working within the existing site architecture while also implementing new designs and functionality.

This role involves full responsibility across front-end and back-end development , ensuring that our website remains fast, secure, scalable, and visually polished.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance our WordPress-based e-commerce website

  • Implement new designs across both front-end and back-end

  • Maintain existing plugins and integrate new plugins to improve site functionality

  • Write clean, minimalist, and efficient code to minimise bugs and technical debt

  • Ensure:

    • Website infrastructure

    • Plugins

    • Core systems

    • Databases

    • Servers

    • APIs

    • Analytics, ads, and marketing integrations
      are always fully updated and optimised

  • Monitor performance, security, and site stability

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently

Technical Skills & Strengths

You must demonstrate strong experience in:

  • Advanced WordPress development and compatible plugins

  • HTML5 / CSS3

  • JavaScript

  • APIs & server-side integrations

  • Web server setup & architecture

  • Marketing integrations (tracking, ads, analytics)

  • Databases & server integration

  • SVG & XML implementation

  • Managing both front-end and back-end systems

Working Hours & Location

Pay

  • £20 per hour

  • Freelance position

  • Regular ongoing work subject to performance
