AWS Cloud Engineer, ComfyUI experience at Revolgy, Remote, £Contract Rate

Contract Description

We are building a GenAI creation platform on AWS that lets non-technical creators run complex ComfyUI workflows at enterprise scale — safely, reliably, and without touching a node graph. To make that possible, we need an engineer who can own both the AWS foundation and the middleware layer that ties it all together. This is a hands-on, build-from-scratch contract role for someone who thrives in early-stage technical complexity.

About Revolgy ☁️

Revolgy is a leading multinational provider of digital transformation services, helping over 2,000 clients worldwide get the most from Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services. As a Premier Partner of both Google and Amazon, we take on complex, meaningful infrastructure challenges — and this project is one of the most technically interesting we have had in a while.

What We Offer

A Problem Worth Solving

This is greenfield work on a platform that does not exist yet — you will have real architectural ownership, not a ticket queue. The decisions you make in the first weeks will shape how this system runs for years.

Fully Remote

Work from anywhere in Europe. You manage your schedule — we care about what gets built, not when you log on.

Investment in Your Growth

We support hands-on development and certifications through our partners AWS and Google Cloud. Our Continuous Learning mindset is reflected in how we work, not just what we say.

AI-First Culture

AI and automation are everyday tools here. You will be expected — and empowered — to use them to move faster and build smarter.

Autonomy With Accountability

You will have genuine ownership of your work. We set clear outcomes and trust you to get there.

What You Will Build

You will design and build the AWS platform foundation and the orchestration layer that makes ComfyUI run like a managed service. This is split across six interconnected areas:

  • AWS Platform Foundation — secure networking (VPC, private connectivity), RBAC/IAM, and storage lifecycle management
  • Elastic GPU Compute — EKS with GPU nodes, autoscaling, NVIDIA driver configuration, and safe scheduling defaults
  • Serverless Middleware — Lambda, SQS, Step Functions, and EventBridge handling job ingestion, decoupled orchestration, and retries
  • ComfyUI Adapter — the translation layer between app inputs and the ComfyUI API, covering execution lifecycle, logging, and output manifests
  • Real-Time Feedback — WebSocket/SSE streaming architecture so users have live visibility into generation job progress
  • Production Rigour — concurrency limits, cost tagging, observability (CloudWatch/X-Ray), and fully automated CI/CD pipelines using IaC (CDK preferred)

What Makes You a Fit

You will need

  • Deep AWS expertise — comfortable owning both serverless (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge) and container platforms (EKS operations, autoscaling)
  • ComfyUI or GenAI platform experience — you have worked with the ComfyUI API and workflow structure, or have strong evidence of extending open-source GenAI codebases
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals — you write clean, testable middleware code, not just config files
  • A production mindset — security, observability, and cost-awareness are defaults in how you architect, not afterthoughts
  • IaC proficiency — CDK preferred, Terraform also welcome; you build CI/CD for both infrastructure and container publishing

About This Contract

This is a focused 3–6 month B2B engagement. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, take full ownership of their scope, and deliver a production-ready platform. There may be opportunities to extend or continue collaborating with Revolgy beyond the initial engagement — but we want to be upfront that this is a contract role, not a path to full-time employment.

Our Process

We designed our process to be transparent, efficient, and respectful of your time. Here is what to expect:

  1. Async Introduction — A short application form and a brief video introduction, on your schedule.
  2. People & Culture Call (60 min) — A Google Meet conversation about your motivation and approach, with light interactive exercises to understand how you think.
  3. Meet the Team (60 min) — You will meet your future collaborators and work through real technical scenarios so you can get a genuine feel for the problem we are solving.
  4. Alignment & Offer — We align on scope, rate, timeline, and working style before getting started.
