Contract Description

We are recruiting for a Contract Solutions Architect. The role is hybrid, 2 days per week onsite in London (Paddington). These roles are an immediate start until the end of June.

The Role:

You’ll work closely with Product Owners, Platform Leads, Architects and Engineering teams to shape and extend the architectural runway for a modern product engineering environment. The role focuses on designing scalable, cloud-based architectures and supporting the delivery of decoupled, high-quality systems that enable rapid product development.

You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external technology partners to define solution designs, validate technical assumptions and ensure platforms align with modern engineering and architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with architects, engineers and third-party partners to define solution designs and evaluate implementation options
  • Design scalable, decoupled architectures that enable rapid delivery and flexibility
  • Provide technical input into investment decisions and solution planning
  • Champion modern engineering practices, built-in quality and resilient architecture design
  • Promote security, risk and compliance considerations through “secure by design” approaches
  • Share architectural best practices across engineering communities and teams


Essential Skills:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to drive progress in evolving technical environments
  • Experience working with modern platforms, technologies and architectural patterns
  • Strong experience influencing and working with third-party technology providers
  • Understanding of financial services products or similar regulated environments
  • Experience designing scalable, distributed cloud architectures (AWS preferred, Azure/GCP also considered)
  • Strong understanding of how technology enables business change


Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a cloud-native product organisation
  • Background in enterprise software environments
  • Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Vue.js)
  • Experience with major programming languages and CI/CD practices
  • Experience with developer platforms or tooling (e.g. Terraform, CDK)
  • Exposure to large-scale consumer systems or open-source technologies
