Job Introduction
Main Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Data Developer to join our UK Analytics and Information Supply team in a contract role. As the Data Developer you will build and maintain technical data solutions that drive evidence-based decision-making. A primary focus of this role is leading the data migration from legacy systems to a new ERP platform. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to analyse, map, transform, and validate data, ensuring integrity and traceability throughout our systems modernisation program.
You will also work on the following;
- Design, develop, and maintain solutions across the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, T-SQL).
- Drive performance improvements, process automation, and enhancements to data quality and reliability.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Support the migration of data from Legacy source systems to a new target system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Analyse complex data sets within Legacy systems to understand structure, content, and usage, particularly where documentation is limited
- Interpret target system requirements and perform detailed source-to-target data mapping
- Define and validate data transformations, calculations, and derivations required to align Legacy data to the target model.
- Perform data profiling on source systems to identify data quality issues and support remediation activities
- Interpret data models and entity relationship diagrams for both source and target systems
- Administer, maintain, and provide support for data analytics platforms.
- Perform unit testing and resolve issues through effective troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Create, maintain, and update comprehensive technical documentation.

- Design, develop, and maintain solutions using Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL).
- Experience with agile delivery, test automation and CI/CD.
- Knowledge and Experience of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, BI and Cloud.
- Knowledge and Experience of data migration from legacy systems to target data model.
- Advanced SQL (T-SQL or PL/SQL).
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
