Are you a highly capable Technical Business Analyst who thrives on complex integration work, fast‑paced delivery, and acting as the bridge between business and engineering teams?

We’re looking for an experienced professional contractor who can hit the ground running and play a pivotal role in a major reservations platform replacement programme.

This is a unique opportunity to join our Integration Layer squad working at the heart of a business-critical transformation that connects a new core reservations platform with multiple legacy and third-party systems.

 

The Role:

As our Technical Business Analyst, you’ll define, design, document and support the delivery of a suite of RESTful API integrations and data synchronisation services.

 

Acting as both Technical Analyst and Product Owner, you’ll:

  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements
  • Own the backlog, user stories, and refinement sessions in Azure DevOps
  • Collaborate closely with the Lead Architect, developers, QA, SMEs and multiple third‑party suppliers
  • Ensure integrations meet functional & non‑functional expectations (performance, security, resilience)
  • Support testing, clarify technical queries, and keep delivery flowing for a squad of 3–4 developers

 

You’ll be the critical conduit between the business, the engineering teams, and various external partners ensuring seamless alignment and quality outcomes.

 

What you will bring:

  • Highly experienced as a Technical Business Analyst, Integration Analyst, or similar
  • Skilled in defining/documenting RESTful APIs and system integrations
  • Confident working with data structures, mappings and synchronisation
  • Comfortable owning backlogs and requirements in Azure DevOps
  • Experienced in agile delivery and working closely with developers
  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills—able to “translate” both ways between business and technical teams
  • Fast‑paced, hands‑on and able to work independently as the sole analyst for the squad
  • Experienced in Microsoft technology environments

 

Desirable

  • Experience in travel, booking or transactional systems
  • Background integrating legacy systems
  • Degree or equivalent in IT / Engineering (not essential)
