QA Engineer - External Contractor at Whiteshield, Remote, 2-3 Months, £Contractor Rate

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Develop, maintain, and execute test cases for functional, regression, integration, UAT, and automation testing.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Perform thorough manual and automation testing on web applications covering UI, functional, responsiveness, and end-to-end scenarios.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Contribute towards Designing, implementing and maintaining automation scripts for regression and smoke testing using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Document test results, report bugs, and track them to closure using JIRA.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Collaborate with product and engineering teams to clarify requirements, identify edge cases, and ensure optimal test coverage.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Contribute to test planning, estimation, and execution in alignment with Agile/Scrum workflows.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Participate in release validation, post-release testing, and continuous integration pipelines.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa05+ years of QA experience in manual and automation testing, ideally across both web and mobile platforms.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test types, and defect lifecycle management.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Hands-on experience with mobile app testing frameworks and automation tools (e.g., , Selenium, Playwright ,TestNG).

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Familiarity with tools such as Zephyr or similar test case management systems.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Proven ability to design test automation frameworks for regression and smoke testing.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Experience in writing clear and concise test cases, bug reports, and automation scripts.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Knowledge of performance, integration, and security testing is a plus.

• xe2 x81 xa0 xe2 x81 xa0Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
