We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Freelance CompTIA Tutor to deliver high-quality, engaging training for CompTIA qualifications. Join our forward-thinking training organisation and support learners in developing the technical knowledge and professional skills required for entry-level and intermediate IT support and infrastructure roles.

Role Overview
You will deliver a blend of practical and theoretical training aligned to CompTIA certifications (such as ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent, depending on programme requirements). Teaching areas will include IT hardware and software fundamentals, operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking concepts, cybersecurity principles, troubleshooting methodologies, incident and problem management, customer support, and professional behaviours.

You will work with small learner cohorts (up to 10 learners), supporting learners to build job-ready technical skills, industry-recognised knowledge, and the workplace behaviours needed to succeed in IT support and digital technology roles.

As a freelance tutor, you must complete all delivery preparation in advance. This includes creating a Scheme of Work, lesson plans, and learner activities mapped to the relevant CompTIA qualification objectives. Please note that lesson preparation time is not separately remunerated.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an IT Technician, IT Support, or related technical role
• Strong knowledge of CompTIA certification pathways and exam objectives
• Hands-on experience with computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals
• Familiarity with tools such as Active Directory, Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, and remote support tools
• Previous teaching, tutoring, or technical training delivery experience
• Teaching qualification and relevant instructional certification (required)
• Excellent communication, coaching, and learner engagement skills
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree qualification (required)
