Senior Microsoft 365 & Azure Systems Engineer (Hybrid – 50% Office Based)

Location: Hybrid – minimum 50% onsite at our offices near Heathrow
Hours: Part-time / Flexible
Contract: Permanent or Contract (open to discussion)

About the Role

We are a UK-based same-day courier and logistics company near Heathrow. We are seeking a senior, experienced Microsoft 365 & Azure Systems Engineer to take full ownership of our Microsoft environment and internal business systems.

This role is not remote-only. You must be able to attend our offices at least 50% of the time and work closely with our operations team.

A key part of the role is the design and build of Microsoft-native business applications, including the long-term development of a Transport Management System (TMS) using Microsoft technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage our Microsoft 365 Business Premium environment
  • Administer and optimise:
  • Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Exchange Online
  • SharePoint & OneDrive
  • Teams
  • Intune / device management (where applicable)
  • Design and build internal systems using:
  • Power Apps (Canvas Apps)
  • Power Automate
  • SharePoint Lists
  • Azure services
  • Lead and evolve a Microsoft-based TMS
  • Implement security, permissions, governance, and best practices
  • Act as senior technical owner for general IT & Microsoft systems

Essential Experience (Senior Level)

  • Proven, hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Azure / Entra ID
  • Power Platform (Power Apps & Power Automate)
  • SharePoint as structured data
  • Experience building business-critical internal platforms
  • Comfortable taking ownership and working directly with decision-makers
  • Able to attend the office at least 50% of the time (mandatory)

Nice to Have

  • Logistics, transport, or operations system experience
  • Experience designing TMS, ERP, or workflow platforms
  • Microsoft Partner or consultancy background
  • Azure integrations, APIs, or data connectors
