Job Title: Shopify Operations Optimisation Specialist (Project-Based)
Overview
We are a jewellery business specialising in the sale of rings, and we’re looking for an experienced Shopify Specialist to help us optimise our existing store for efficiency and time-saving.
This project is not about SEO, marketing, or redesigning the storefront . The focus is on improving back-end processes, integrations, and workflows to make day-to-day operations smoother. We want to reduce manual admin, better manage orders, repairs, and client interactions, and explore how Shopify (or integrated platforms) can support a more efficient, centralised system.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimise the Shopify backend to streamline order and client management
- Configure workflows to make processing orders, repairs, and customer requests faster and more accurate
- Identify areas where manual work can be automated or simplified
- Integrate Shopify with other platforms or tools to centralise operations (if relevant)
- Train a designated team member to manage the system confidently in-house
- Provide clear documentation for ongoing use
Requirements
- Proven experience optimising Shopify stores for operational efficiency
- Strong understanding of workflows, integrations, and order management
- Experience with product-based or retail businesses (jewellery a plus)
- Ability to explain processes clearly to non-technical users
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Project Details
- Project-based role (not ongoing employment)
- Expected timeframe: approximately 2–4 weeks , depending on scope and availability
- Includes workflow optimisation, system improvements, staff training, and handover
- Flexible scheduling during the project
- Potential for occasional ad-hoc support after completion, if required
Budget
- £1,500–£2,500 project-based fee , depending on experience and scope
