Data Consultant - 3 Month Contract

Role Overview

Our Consultant will play a key role in validating, assuring, and improving data-driven workflows built on the Xceptor platform. This role suits someone with a strong background in data projects, excellent analytical skills, and the curiosity and drive to quickly pick up new technologies. You’ll work closely with developers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure high‑quality delivery across complex data transformation and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct end‑to‑end testing of Xceptor workflows, rules, transformations, and integrations.

  • Analyse data inputs, outputs, and transformation logic to ensure accuracy and alignment with business requirements.

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data-driven processes.

  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, and data quality issues, and work with technical teams to resolve them.

  • Support regression testing, UAT cycles, and production readiness assessments.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing standards, documentation, and quality assurance processes.

  • Adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and project domains as required.

     

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience working on data-focused projects, ideally within financial services, operations, or automation environments.

  • Experienced in data structures, data mapping, data validation, and data quality principles.

  • Knowledge or experience with testing complex data workflows, ETL processes, or automation platforms.

  • Ability to analyse large datasets and identify patterns, anomalies, and transformation issues.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to break down complex logic.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

  • Highly adaptable, fast learner, and comfortable stepping into new domains or technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.

  • A proactive attitude — someone who brings energy, curiosity, and initiative to the team.
