The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Report Writer / Developer (VB & SQL) to join our growing technical team on a long-term contract basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising reports within our in-house application (full training provided). You will work closely with our internal technical and product teams to ensure reports are accurate, efficient, and aligned with business requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking stable, ongoing contract work with the potential to increase hours over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, create, modify, and maintain reports within our internal application
• Use Visual Basic (VB) and SQL to extract, manipulate, and present data effectively
• Review existing report logic and recommend performance or efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather and clarify reporting requirements
• Test and validate report outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Maintain clear documentation for all developed and updated reports

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience working with Visual Basic (VB) and SQL
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Ability to work independently and learn internal systems quickly
• Clear and professional communication skills in English
• Experience working within business applications, ERP systems, or reporting environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, SSRS , or similar
• Familiarity with data-driven applications or rental / business management systems

Contract Details

• Hours: Less than 30 hours per week (with potential to increase)
• Engagement: Contractor
• Duration: Initial 3–6 months, with strong potential for long-term extension

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Maidenhead SL6 3LW
