About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Angular Front-end Development Lead to work with an Investment Bank in Manchester, tasked with enhancing their core loan operations platform. As a Technical Lead, you will work closely with client Product Owners and Technical Leads to deliver robust, scalable, and client-centric solutions across loan operations.
 

Responsibilities but not limited to;
  • Provide expert technical direction and mentorship to developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles for Java Spring Boot Microservices.
  • Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of new features and enhancements for the platform.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high code quality, performance, and security standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the client Product Owner and Technical Lead to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and define clear development tasks.
  • Actively contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-quality Java Spring Boot Microservices and Angular front-end components.
 

Essential Skills:
Experience with the following is required:
  • Proficiency in front-end development with Angular (versions 10+ preferred).
  • Hands on experience with Spring boot, Micro services and Hazel cast
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g. Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
 

Desirable skills
:
  • Financial Services industry experience, in particular knowledge of loan origination or servicing platforms.
  • Familiarity with messaging queues (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g. JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma).
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.

  • Strengthening client centred workflows and end of day completeness.
  • Enhancing product insight through analytics and usage measurement.
  • Improving the experience and consistency for client platforms and developers who build on or integrate with LEX.
  • Laying foundations for more scalable operations, lower cost to serve, and higher reliability.
