Web Developer at LIC, Brierley Hill, £Freelance Rate

Looking for an experienced web developer who can provide ad-hoc support across the business. We are a growing digital agency and need someone reliable, hard-working and eager to learn and develop.

Your main duties:

• Help build websites (Wordpress/Shopify/others)
• Fix issues with sites (such as loading slow, or updating plugins, using Elementor etc)
• Responding back to client queries via Slack/WhatsApp/other
• Assist with email and hosting queries

Skills we expect you to have:

• HTML, CSS, JS, PHP - you don't need to be an expert but you should be able to read it and have a rough idea of what code is doing
• Wordpress/Elementor/Divi - know the WP environment, how to set it up, fix issues, common problems
• Shopify - have used Shopify before and understand what liquid code is, templates and metafields
• NodeJS/React/NextJS - would be very useful if you have had some exposure to these
• AI - have proven experience of using AI to debug and fix coding issues and other web-related problems

You will be expected to show us examples of your work and what you are capable of especially with AI and Wordpress. Training will be provided where required and we are more than happy to work with you to help you learn and develop with us.

This is a freelance role but there is opportunity for progression for the right person. As a freelancer you will retain control over your own calendar and we will be able to work flexibly with you.

This is NOT a remote role - you will be expected to meet up as and when required. You should be reliable and available when we need you with very good communication and organisation.

Pay: £6,500.00-£10,000.00 per year
