We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join our Group Technology team in Milton Keynes on a 6-month contract. As a UX Design contractor, you will own the end-to-end design process from discovery through to design delivery in shaping our new contact centre platform.
Working alongside a delivery manager, business analysts and development teams, you'll utilise design framework to deliver solutions based around product and user led iterative design. You'll leverage your expertise to balance business goals and technical constraints but most importantly, champion the user and their needs.
A big part of this role will be to recommend, customise and document an internal design system (based on existing libraries) in collaboration with our other UX designers.
We offer a hybrid working arrangement with one or two days per week in our Milton Keynes office.

- Interaction Design: Design user interfaces that are visually appealing and enhance user engagement, employing wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Accessibility: Understanding of inclusive design principles and proven implementation of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards to at least AA level.
- User Journey Mapping:?Create holistic service flows, user journey maps, and personas to identify critical touchpoints, emotions and risks - ensuring a seamless experience for users.
- Design Systems:?Contribute to the creation, maintenance and documentation of a back-office design system, promoting consistency across all digital products and experiences.
- Feedback Integration:?Gather feedback from users and stakeholders, iterating designs based on insights and testing to continuously improve the user experience.
- Trend Analysis:?Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in UX design, ensuring that our offerings are competitive and meet user expectations.

- Excellent understanding of core design principles and user-centred methodologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to explain, justify and defend design decisions clearly and confidently to non-design stakeholders.
- Ability to solve problems creatively, with exceptional attention to pixel-perfect detail and handover practices, ensuring design intent is maintained throughout build.
- Proven ability to work to tight timelines and able to take ownership without constant direction
