Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Active Directory / Entra ID Engineer to join our Core Infrastructure IAM team within Identity & Access Technology Services. This role involves designing, implementing, and delivering global identity solutions across both on-premises and cloud environments. The successful candidate will work within the Core Infrastructure IAM team and must demonstrate proven expertise in identity and security solution implementation.

 

 

Role / Principal Accountabilities:

  • Engineer and maintain all aspects of Core Infrastructure IAM identity and infrastructure components
  • Design and implement global identity solutions for hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud)
  • Collaborate effectively within a multi-platform global engineering team
  • Present technical solutions and recommendations to management stakeholders
  • Adhere to established change control procedures and governance frameworks
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of identity and access management practices

Essential Skills:

 

Technical Expertise:

  • Subject-matter expert knowledge of Active Directory technologies, including:
    • Tiered Administration Models
    • Organizational Unit (OU) design and implementation
    • Group Policy management and deployment
    • DHCP and DNS integration
    • Active Directory enterprise design principles

  • Subject-matter expert knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and related cloud identity services
  • Deep understanding of Active Directory and Entra ID security frameworks
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft best practices for securing privileged access
  • Proficiency in developing automation scripts and PowerShell solutions to drive operational efficiencies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence presenting to senior management
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative team-player approach

Desirable Skills:

  • Subject-matter expert knowledge of Windows Server technologies and administration
  • Experience designing and deploying PowerShell security controls in enterprise environments
  • Experience of Ping AM / Ping DS Identity product set
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (PRA, FCA) relating to operational resilience
