Pega Lead System Architect at BAPON Technologies, Edinburgh, 6 Months, £600 per day (Outside IR35)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) with strong insurance industry experience, hands-on expertise in Pega AI (including Knowledge Buddy and Blueprint), and proven cloud delivery skills. You’ll lead solution design, guide delivery teams, and ensure Pega applications meet business and technical needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and delivery of Pega applications across insurance functions (claims, underwriting, policy servicing, customer service).
• Translate insurance business processes into scalable, maintainable Pega solutions.
• Apply Pega AI capabilities such as Knowledge Buddy and Blueprint to accelerate design and knowledge-driven automation.
• Define and oversee cloud-based deployments (Pega Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Mentor developers and architects, review designs, and ensure quality delivery.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, business leaders, and integration teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Certified Pega Lead System Architect (LSA).
• Proven track record delivering Pega solutions in the Financial Services/insurance sector.
• Hands-on experience with Knowledge Buddy and Blueprint.
• Cloud deployment expertise (Pega Cloud or public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup (2–3 days/week onsite in Edinburgh).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks in insurance.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps practices for Pega programs.
