Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Test Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing requirements, creating high-quality test artefacts, executing tests, identifying defects, and supporting the delivery of robust software solutions. The role requires strong collaboration with developers, test managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and testability of new features.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyse user stories, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done to produce clear and accurate test scripts.

  • Maintain high standards of quality and precision across all test artefacts for each release cycle.

  • Prepare detailed test scripts to demonstrate business scenarios and expected outcomes.

  • Log defects accurately with supporting evidence and manage them through to resolution.

  • Ensure all testing activities adhere to agreed schedules and quality requirements.

  • Provide timely feedback to development teams and line managers on issues and risks.

  • Supply accurate estimates to Test Managers for planning and scheduling purposes.

  • Support the scoping and estimation of effort for user stories in the product backlog.

  • Collaborate effectively with developers to ensure new features are testable and defects are resolved promptly.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Proven track record in testing complex user-facing systems.

  • Strong understanding of structured testing methods, processes, and documentation.

  • Solid experience in manual testing with some exposure to automated testing.

  • Hands-on experience testing Windows software applications and database systems using Oracle, GCP BigQuery, and SQL Server.

  • Good understanding of technologies such as Kafka, FTP/SFTP, Azure, GCP, and Java.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to delivering high-quality outputs.

  • Proficient with collaboration and test management tools including Jira/Zephyr, Confluence, and Azure DevOps (ADO).

  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) as well as Waterfall delivery models.

  • Good knowledge of UK geography.

Experience Required

  • Test Analyst: 5+ years of hands-on technology testing experience.

  • Senior Test Analyst: 10+ years of testing experience.

  • Experience in Logistics, utilities, or retail industries is highly desirable.
