Data Architect / Principal Data Engineer (GCP)
Contract: Initial 3 Months Location: Fully Remote Status: Outside IR35
We are looking for a highly experienced Data Architect / Principal Data Engineer with deep, hands-on GCP expertise to support a major data transformation programme within a regulated financial services environment.
This is not an advisory role. We need someone who has personally designed, built and owned enterprise-scale GCP data platforms in production and can lead both architecture and delivery.
Key Requirements
7+ years' hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Proven experience designing and building production-grade data platforms using:
BigQuery
Dataflow
Pub/Sub
Python
APIs and containerised services
Strong data architecture experience, including conceptual, logical and physical data modelling
