The Career Opportunity Vodafone Consulting & Innovation currently require a Cisco Firewall Engineer to work onsite in Newbury HQ with our 3rd line engineers on a customer specific project. This is a 3 month contract with the possibility of being extended. Key Responsibilities: Assessment of changes incoming from the customer. This is validation of complexity of change ie how many Firewalls are impacted by the change requested and how complex is the ruleset itself Assyst/change raising & approval - the process of scheduling change and planned rollback Implementation - effecting the change on the Firewalls in scope Follow up/meetings. Incident - post implementation review, sign off or rollback if unsuccessful Essential skills: ITIL trained/certified 2-4 years' experience of the following: ASA and Checkpoint Firewalls Cisco Routers/Switches (past and current specifications) Hands on with ITIL tools (Remedy, Service Now, Assyst) Good customer handeling skills Good infrastructure knowledge Work load management Desirable: Previous Vodafone experience Commitment from Vodafone Vodafone is committed to attracting, developing and retaining the very best people by offering a flexible, motivating and inclusive workplace in which talent is truly recognised, developed and rewarded.
