The role is fundamental to support the IT PMO function providing governance, administration and reporting support to the Project Delivery Team and the wider IT Management Team. Principal accountabilities Assist the Project Managers in ensuring the required level of PMO governance and controls are applied to the IT portfolio programmes / projects alignment with the PMM Framework. Provide advice and guidance on the completion of the PMM templates and documents Quality check the accuracy of project reports, once completed by the PM 's and ensure the contents align with Sharepoint. Analyse the information provided and prepare the clear, concise, timely and accurate reports / presentations required for effective monitoring and decision making by the relevant boards. Ensure Project Cost plans are available in a timely manner to Project Managers for them to complete and submit for review and support the analysis of project costs on monthly basis Carry out financial elements of 'Project Closure ' working with Finance. Including giving guidance to Project Managers to enable them to complete Project Analysis Sheets. Manage and schedule all project board meetings. Induction training for all new Project Managers Ensure project governance is adhered to and that the required project documentation is in place for stage gate audits and funding requests. Run monthly risk meeting on behalf of the projects. Raise POs and receipt against purchase order, monitor & analyse values, advising any shortfall or underspend of purchase orders. Ensure receipts are accurately recorded in SAP. Chase suppliers for outstanding invoices. Qualifications and experience Strong understanding of the principles of project management. Experience of operating within a fast-paced and challenging commercial and operational environment. Excellent planning and organisation skills. Must be familiar in Project cost management and able to analyse cost and time data to enable project and programme reporting Preferable experience of working with SAP Financial software Works sensitively with others and shares openly information and knowledge with the appropriate people at the right time. Customer-focused and goal-orientated with keen attention to detail. Ability to manage and work as part of an effective and highly skilled team. Strong sense of ownership and ability to follow tasks through to completion. Good inter personal communication skills & Preferably Degree qualified or equivalent. Demonstrates creativity in identifying opportunities and finding solutions. Advanced experience with MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project and SharePoint.
