Devoteam UK are looking for an experienced BMC Remedy consultant to join a high performing team. The successful candidate will be involved in helping our clients to develop and enhance the Remedy platform through design, coding, testing, deployment and documentation.
The preferred candidate will have experience recommending robust configuration management procedures and best practices for using Remedy ITSM capabilities and have experience in developing moderately complex hardware and software systems.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in ITSM Data and Application architecture.
Experience writing custom workflows using Remedy forms and objects like Active Links, Filters and Escalations
Customisation experience in ARS v9.x and later.
Hands-on experience in CSS.
Hands-on knowledge in Remedy Installation and configuration in a server group environment.
3 years + experience as a Remedy Developer and System Administrator
Demonstrated and thorough understanding with 5+ years experience of BMC Atrium CMDB.
Demonstrated experience with the Atrium Integrator
Demonstrated and through understanding of normalisation and reconciliation processes and configurations.
Knowledge of configuring and implementing Service Catalogues
Experience in translating high level process requirements into detailed process implementations within Remedy
Expertise upgrading Remedy AR Server and Remedy Mid-Tier server with the latest patches.
Experience with SSO, RSSO and LDAP Plugins for Remedy.
Expert level knowledge on setting up disaster recovery for Remedy with minimal downtime.
Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle), PL/SQL, DB Links, Views etc.
Knowledge of backup/restore process.
Experience analysing, approving and testing customised Remedy enhancement modules.
Installed and Configured Email Engine.
Strong expertise in writing PLSQL scripts, functions, stored procedures, complex SQL queries, PLSQL analytical functions, hierarchical, parent-child queries
Knowledge in java scripts, Unix shell scripts to support custom functions or steps.
Expertise in designing and setting up exception handling and performance tuning of jobs
Knowledge of BMC Helix 19x and later.
Knowledge of the issues with integrating multiple service desks within a SIAM context

Experience with Linux commands (shell scripts etc.)
The candidate should be able to:
Install and configure BMC Remedy v9.x and recent experience of upgrading AR Server to 20.x in a clustered high available environment.
troubleshoot application logs (SQL, API, Filter, Active Links etc.) and provide solutions.
Perform application configuration such as adding categories, groups.
Provide preventative maintenance, such as performance tuning, archiving
Investigate and implement application customisation
Deploy application changes or upgrades as and when required
Implement the Remedy disaster recovery process.
Maintain the Remedy server for patches and upgrades etc.
Location: We have offices in London, however, we acknowledge that people should work where they work best and many of our people are based remotely.
The contract will be an initial 3 month contract, Inside IR35, paying up to £700pd.
