Full-stack .NET Developer (up to 6 month contract – outside IR35)

Working hours: 5 days per week, Monday to Friday

Duration: up to 6 month contract - outside IR35

Location: Gloucester, Hybrid working


About the role

Our Web Platform is an SDL Tridion content management and hosting solution, we support a number of websites and microsites for the Benefact Group. The platform allows content editors to independently create and manage content, utilising templates, schemas and building blocks delivered by the web platform team.

We are looking for expert level .NET Developers with a strong front-end skills for to join the existing Web Platform team. We have a backlog of work tasks and need to update tools and technologies to the latest versions and using them to develop business critical solutions.

The team use Agile and Scrum methodology to deliver value as early as possible. We use a range of server- and client-side technologies such as C# ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, Web API, Solr, Typescript, Vue.js and Bootstrap.

 

Essential skills:

  • Demonstrable expert knowledge of C#
  • Demonstrable expert knowledge of .NET Framework, and Visual Studio.
  • Knowledge of cloud development and deployment via Azure.
  • HTML 5 / CSS 3 (Less/SASS), JavaScript (or TypeScript), Bootstrap.
  • Experience developing websites for mobile devices using responsive design.
  • Experience with SDL Tridion or other CMS platforms (SiteCore, Umbraco, Sitefinity, Strapi, WordPress, etc.)

 

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of working in an Agile environment, using concepts like Scrum, Kanban etc.
  • Experience of CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying code (e.g. Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Jenkins etc.)
  • Experience with unit / acceptance testing, QA practices (using ReSharper and code review), accessibility standards & testing, and source control (using Bitbucket).
