Contract Description

Methods are looking for multiple Technical Architects for a new piece of work within Public Sector.

 

You ideally come from a Software Development background within Microsoft but we will look at other Tech.

 

Fully remote roles, 3 month discovery and then 6-12 month contracts, inside IR35, immediate start

Technical Design Development

 

  • The candidate should be able to communicate and agree the solution approach with change sponsors using either technical or business context and language
  • The candidate should be able to identify the key requirements, critical change areas, constraints, and critical success factors, as part of IT design and architecture where necessary, and focusing architecture activities appropriately.
  • The candidate should be able to engage all appropriate stakeholders to understand the overall strategy and the impact on the solution development activities.
  • The supplier should ensure that the solution is approved through the appropriate business and technical governance.
  • The candidate should actively support the delivery of the solution across the whole delivery life cycle.
  • The candidate should have the ability to develop a technical solution and associated technical design documents, aligned to the client 's requirements that supports the solution approach and meets the requirements.
  • The candidate should have the ability to develop IT Strategy & Roadmaps in a defined domain or business area, (eg Customs, Compliance, Customer Services) to support the development of IT solutions.

 

Architecture

 

  • The candidate should be able to support the evaluation and recommendation of products, including COTS, services and the selection and/or evaluation for business areas, domains or specific use cases or solutions.
  • The candidate should be able to investigate and evaluate solution architecture approaches and options to support the practical application of new or innovative technology, techniques, or tools through working with third parties to investigate, test or prove, through proof of concepts, protypes and pilot demonstrators.
  • The candidate should have experience in providing strategic architecture support for early shaping and thinking including development of points of view and options papers.
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience of enabling collaboration between solution architects and other stakeholders, including delivery colleagues to develop effort estimates, to be able to support for example policy development and Design Authority decision making.
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience of facilitating and managing Solution Architecture Board (SAB) or similar governance architectural review boards to govern solution designs and other architecture artefacts, ensuring alignment to strategies.
  • The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience of undertaking architecture and design review of lower-level design architectures, supplier proposals and other delivery team artefacts
