This is an integral role within the Portfolio that will require supportive stakeholder management and dynamic analytical skills. We are looking for an individual within the Project Delivery Profession, with proven experience of delivering in a challenging environment, who is naturally inquisitive, enjoys working at pace with a strong ability to prioritise and influence across all levels, and is energised by solving problems and building relationships.
·Act as a key point of contact in the PfM for Programmes
·Engage with Programme stakeholders and own and manage relationships
·Responsible for facilitating collaboration and joint working with stakeholders within and out with PfM.
Problem Identification and Resolution
·Meet regularly with the Programmes to understand their challenges and requirements from the Portfolio
·Focus on resolving issues with programmes and managing dependencies between programmes
·In partnership, develop solutions so that issues are resolved, and Portfolio delivery is not adversely impacted.
·Support and challenge Programmes on their change journey, providing quality assurance, measuring outputs and outcomes and ensuring a consistent approach to the management of change
·Develop and conduct deep dive activity or ‘health checks’ into projects that meet significant issues and understand Programme delivery status, including value for money, common risks and issues, critical dependencies
·Excellent communication skills that inspire confidence and respect with a wide variety of audiences
·Ability to operate in a complex stakeholder environment
·A good understanding of practical tools and techniques in the areas of programme management, project management, change management and facilitation
·Ability to work independently and under pressure, exercising initiative and judgement
·Demonstrate willingness to be ‘hands on’ – to do, as well as to manage
·Proven track record of dynamically collaborating with senior stakeholders in a complex fast paced project/programme environment to identify needs, break down problems and offer viable solutions.
·Demonstrable experience of effectively influencing/challenging others, regardless of role or grade, whilst maintaining constructive working relationships.
·The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and adverse situations whilst remaining calm, reassuring others and maintaining performance.
