Legal & General are currently looking for a Senior Front-End Developer with extensive Angular experience to join the SCRAM project (Secure Customer Registration and Access Management) within their Group IT & Digital area.
For the right candidate, we can offer you up to £700 p/d inside of IR35 (plus 18.55% Umbrella uplift) to join L&G on an initial 24-week contract. You will work remotely within the UK, and there is no requirement to attend the L&G office in Hove - PLEASE NOTE candidates must currently reside in the UK and hold valid Right to Work.
The SCRAM project is centred around moving the L&G authentication portal to a third party and as a result the front-end screens for the Manage Your Account platform require rebuilding, using Angular as well as GraphQL. Key Accountabilities:
- Deliver large, clean, maintainable features, resolve complex end-to-end issues, and define new approaches where applicable.
- Analyse and define test approaches and strategies to maintain an appropriate quality level within your team.
- Lead code reviews with an emphasis on non-functional requirements and adherence to architectural principles.
- Take ownership of the security assessment of your work and ensure that best practice security techniques are followed.
- Define and continuously improve approaches to deployment, monitoring and operations.
- Drive actions which come out of team events, and actively improve the team 's processes - as this is a senior role you will need to help lead team and support/mentor more junior
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience and attributes:
- Advanced knowledge of Angular (version 11 or higher) is a must.
- Experience within senior/lead developer roles is a must.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills are a must, with the confidence to speak up and challenge where necessary.
- Experience with GraphQL is highly desirable but not essential.
- Experience within financial services is highly desirable but not essential.
- Experience within Security/Authentication projects is highly desirable but not essential.
