Lead Solution Architect


Mosaic Island are experts in Design and Assurance of complex IT change - from strategy through to delivery -enabling our clients to accelerate and exceed their business ambitions with confidence.?

We are currently seeking a supplier to provide us with Lead Solution Architecture services as part of Mosaic Island\'s Architecture Managed Service offering to one of our Healthcare Managed Services.


  • Understanding of as-is point to point integrations - all physical and logical components, data flows, risks, and issues etc. Work with technical and business stakeholders to agree target solutions for each integration, with supporting business cases, and support the implementation of an API manager.
  • Define a minimum set of integration artefacts that need to be created and maintained, and agree this with suppliers and our head of integration.
  • Define and agree integration patterns.
  • Help complete as-is and target architecture artefacts.
  • Reviewing key documentation and completing impact assessments.
  • Work closely with the supplier of the system to assess key architecture options, validate design decisions and guide the proposed design.
  • Continue to capture into artefacts the understanding of capabilities being transferred from the Legacy to the target technology stack
  • Propose target architectures, look for opportunities and perform architecture impact assessments associated with the programme.
  • Provide architecture support and assess the architecture impact of works proposed within the Testing Development programme for the new integrations of test machines
  • Evaluate options for data archiving and consumption of archived data, presenting the options in an architecture impact assessment to the TDA
  • Platform roadmaps
  • Solution evaluations and peer reviews

Key Lead Solution Architecture Supplier Experience:

  • Experience of multiple integration technologies including MS API management, Mulesoft (exposure to).
  • Working with conceptual and logical data models to support design decision making.
  • Strong Consultative skills, and communication. Close SI working (Savant) and influencing/guiding design decisions.
  • Confidence to be able to apply different integration approaches and minimise technical debt in point-to-point integrations where not appropriate.
  • Production of high-quality artefacts, appropriate to the audience, and the ability to communicate those to a mixed audience.

We are looking for a supplier to start at the end of June. You will be able to work remotely for this engagement. You will complete an engagement plan to track against. OUTSIDE IR35
