Test Coordinator and Administrator at FCO , London/Remote, 12 Months, £Contract Rate

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Department for International Development (DfID) merged on 1 September 2020 to form the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

The FCDO are launching their new Cloud based Enterprise Resource Planning system Hera. This is a flagship programme under the Governments Shared Services Strategy. As the programme completes its first release, we are looking for a number of contractors to fill critical roles in the Service Team.

The Test Coordinator and Administrator is responsible for coordinating the administration of all Hera Service Function updates and changes to ensure they appropriately tested and only applied to Production with a known level of risk. For all areas of testing including functional, non-functional and system integration. Across all platforms (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and service areas not covered by Suppliers.

As a Test Coordinator and Administrator your main responsibilities would be: 

• Coordinating Test cycles in line with the demand road map and HSF Test Strategy. Tracking activity across the HSF and the Run Partner; Monitoring test ratings/scores.
• Making use of automated test tools, ideally leveraging the same tool as that already used by our Run Partner.
• Working on the creation, continuous development and management of automated and manual Test Scripts. Covering functional, non-functional, integration and other areas as required.
• Planning and coordinating testing with a wide range of stakeholders drawn from HSF, other areas of FCDO and other HSF customers including OGDs and PAGs.
• Working closely with the Run Partner to avoid gaps or unnecessary duplication in testing.

You’ll have:

• Experience of Test Coordination and Administration.
• Experience of creating and managing a suite of Test Scripts.
• Experience of administrating tests across a portfolio of digital products.
• Experience of creating and communicating test reports and summaries/dashboards to a range of stakeholders.
• SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
