Imagine having a talent that could benefit someone you’ve never met and solve problems you didn’t even know existed. Well, you do, and you can. And we’re here to help you do just that. At PSR we are the go-to place for talented contractors and temps for a rich variety of public sector roles.

We are now looking for Senior Service Designer to join our Digital, Data and Technology team to help us to achieve this by designing accessible public services that are simple enough for everyone to use that work across multiple channels, devices, browsers and platforms.

As a Lead Service Designer, you will:

  • Design the end-to-end journey of a service, helping users complete their goal and deliver a policy intent. This involves the creation of, or change to, transactions, products and content across both digital and offline channels provided by different parts of the organisation.
  • Be an expert practitioner who influences others.
  • Work with service managers and programme directors to develop design concepts; set direction, assure the quality of design delivery across teams and lead multiple or highly complex services.

You’ll have:

  • Experience of leading designers in agile teams, determining the right approach for the team to take and evaluating this through the life of a project.
  • Ability to apply a digital understanding to your work, identifying and implementing solutions for assisted digital.
  • Design across multiple channels and services, and can identify the simplest approach out of a variety of approaches.
  • Prioritise and mitigate constraints and can turn them into an advantage, adapting the approach depending on the constraints.
  • Make and justify decisions characterised by high levels of risk, impact and complexity, building consensus across the organisations and it 's diverse stakeholders.
  • Lead on the service design strategy for the HM Land Registry, marrying business needs with sustainable, accessible, and useable designs to meet user needs.
  • Experience in using a variety of methods and deliverables for designing services, including prototyping, service blueprinting, and user journey mapping, to bring a service to life and test it
