Overview:

The Trust has a number of different Health Records libraries, technology solutions and residual paper-based workflows, some of which are no longer fit for purpose. This statement of work is to:

Work with the Trust to develop a Medical Records and EDM strategy which delivers the aspirations of the organisation.

The programme manager and the change leads will work closely with the medical records management to identify and document the critical challenges.

Consideration will have to be given to all operational areas that rely on medical records in order to deliver their services.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver the development of a medical records strategy for MSE FT.
• Creation of full options appraisal
• Procurement activities up to award of contract
• Develop and manage a project plan for key tasks and deliverables.
• Develop and manage a risks & issues log associated to each option,
• Engage with MSE IT Departments about inhouse solutions, costs, lifespan, risks and issues.
• Schedule and deliver all necessary Health Records and Clinical User Experience workshops to inform the requirements and options for the medical records strategy and MSE.
• Provide strategic oversight and expertise to define and develop options for MSE.
• Develop a long list of options based on the digital aspirations for the Trust.

Essential Experience:

• NHS Project Management Experience
• Strategy development experience

It is desired that you also have Medical Records / EDM / scanning implementation experience.
